Moundville Archaeological Park

Moundville Archeological Park is the foremost Indian mound site in the Southeast, and is internationally prominent as the largest and best preserved Native American settlement from the Mississippi Period. A comprehensive master plan was executed for the preservation and development of this historic national landmark includes a new museum, a collections study facility, a reconstructed Indian village, site trails, crafts demonstration areas, interpretive signage, exhibits, and a conference center.
